Clearance! Everything MUST GO!

Who in their right mind picks, Helena Bertinelli for that kinda title?

Me.

Anyway, working more and more on the little http://jaeverse.wetpaint.com added three brand new series, including Park City 101, which is all about, you guessed it, the Black Canary and her ol' home town of Park City. I originally had this located in Maryland and after much, much research discovered that Opal City is in Maryland and thought hey I'll put Canary out in Pennsylvania and so I did.

Canary actually DID have Rogues, be them not all great, but if you pick up DC Comics Archives, Black Canary Vol 1, you will see what I mean.

Another new series, Central City Legends, originally set to be a one shot much like Legends of Gotham, however; after much deliberation I wanted to write Flash when he's NOT running around with the JLA (thus my wanting to do Park City 101), so this will also receive a full cast, and will be about Barry, Iris, their kids and the rogues we all love Flash rogues right? Right? Their great! (Okay they may not be Batman-calibur but goddamnit they're good).

Also, Welcome to Themiscyra, based on the River Therm, in Northern Turkey, these Amazons get a dip in real world history (sorta, remember this is fiction after all), after fleeing the Island of Lesbos in the Mediterranean (brutal battles with brother city-states, and Sparta not lending its support, thus they fled), Hippolyta and her sisters found the Kingdom of Pontus, and went to war with them, over taking the Kingdom, it was renamed, Themiscyra and divided into five city-states, one for each of the five sisters, (daughters of Ares and Otera), and so it would be.

The Themiscyrans have fought Ottoman Turks, Byzantines, and much more throughout the ages surviving an earthquake that separated the Pontus Plate (no pun intended) from the main lands of what will be Turkey and Northern Armenia, the land came to rest in the middle of the Black Sea, and became an atoll, a chain of islands, still five city-states, ruled by one in times of great peril, war, and international events (World Cup, Olympics).

Welcome to Themiscyra takes you deep into this nation, where we find ourselves watching their tabloids, entertainment and laws, the five immortal sisters the Immortal Queens as they are called are but figure heads, (Themiscyra has been a Constitutional Monarchy since the 16th Century).

So I'm guessing you guys want to know, where is your "wonder woman," well she was born in 1976, on January 11th, it was then and is now, a huge topic of debate (what took Hippolyta so long to have children?) simply put, Hippolyta longed for her own child (especially after the death of her beloved Hippolytus).

Hera (note, mythology is very much alive in Jaeverse), wanting to prove to Zeus that she needed not a man to create a child, sought out her most favored subject, Hippolyta. She came to Hippolyta and the two laid together, and Hera created within Hippolyta's womb a most beautiful child, who be named, "Diana" for as long as Zeus has Artemis, Hera will have Diana (of Themiscyra).

Zeus upon learning of this, was out raged (he would laugh, but seeing as Diana isn't exactly like Hephaestus). He decided he would seduce Hippolyta, and in the guise of Hera he did so, thus Hippolyta giving birth to Donna of Troy (b. July 28th, 1985) (for her beauty reminded Zeus of Helen, his beloved daughter).

When Hera learned of this, she was angered more so by Hippolyta than Zeus. Hera then curses Hippolyta to Themiscyra and should she leave, she would surely die. To Zeus, Hera revealed to him Helen of Troy of whom she's kept alive far away in Australia, that Helen was to live until the very last of her line died (this from the Trojan War), however; Hera did not see the folly in her plan for Helen much liked the idea of living despite its costs, so she set about to produce one last heir.

Hippolyta receiving an invitation to a Diety's Ball, gave it to Helen (upon Helen's visit), where upon, Helen arrived at the ball, there she seduced Thor she returned to her home in Australia and gave birth to a daughter who she named Kaitlyn. Helen then took on the guise of Helen Aisha Sandsmark, a curator of the Sydney's Museum of Natural History.

Upon learning of Kaitlyn's birth (January 28th, 1996), both Hera and Thor came to Sydney. Hera outraged by such an act, and Thor's anger of being tricked. However, upon seeing the baby Kaitlyn (often called Kitty), Thor came to love his daughter and warned Hera that should she or any other of her clan touch his daughter, he would slay them all.

Thus, is Themiscyra. The Drama Never Stops. (Seriously, wouldn't you hate to be at that family dinner? This doesn't even INCLUDE, Hippolyta's sisters, or Mother, or Aunts).

Anyway, those are the three new series, prospective series include the Outsiders, Young Justice, the Spectre: Damnation of Hal Jordan, and Jonah Hex: Time's Avenging Angel. Course there's lots more to be done, so good day and good luck!

This is Bull!

So, I didn't get the Nationwide position, waiting for another place to say yes, at least I'm hoping on top of this, did I mention that John is throwing me out? Oh his parents aren't okay with me living IN HIS HOUSE. I doubt that, real reason? I don't put out and I'm not exactly broken up over Matt, so he can't be my knight and shining armor and he's not getting any pussy from this chick. So now on top of job hunting I'm looking for a new place to live, more than likely I'll go back to working fast food as much as I abhor it.

Am looking for low income housing, will probably look for craigslist for jobs and housing as well, >.< my life is such a hot mess.

Chaotic Good?

So recently my life has been one mass roll of d20's and I've not been getting the natural twenty to save. I break up with my dude after three years, done ka-put. Because he doesn't understand that I gave up everything, and so here I am with no apartment of my own, none of my own furniture and a lot of crap to haul around San Antonio.

I thought my friend John would be cool and I could stay with him so that way I can have a permanent residence. No, the twenty-four year old who bought his house from his parents, who is in the Army and makes over fifty grand a year would like to not have grief from his parents and is throwing me out once I get employment, so that makes going to work a lot harder? Cause you know moving is a pain in the ass in and of itself.

I get back home right, and I've been doing job hunting like crazy finally had an interview two weeks ago, and two this week. I've had dates, play dates, dinner dates, coffee dates only been stood up once mind you. I've met over seven new people which is a record for me, and its nice to get out and do this thing called socializing!

Getting back to writing my Timeline Series, so however small my fanbase, they shall be happy. I met an artist, we're talking webcomics, one of my goals is to start webcomics and get into the comic book industry this way. One of my 'dates' saw my work on deviantart and said I'd be a good letterer and colorer for the comics industry and since I write I could be a multiple threat.

I've gotten a lot closer to Veracity who has been a doll in her own, sweet way. Well I should get going and do stuff, thought I'd get back into a regular habit of updating the LJ!

The Hiatus is Over

So after moving back to San Antonio, currently unemployed and single. Getting back into dating, trying to find a job and permanent residence. Working on a webcomic trying to get by- always tired, trying to find money, 2010 has not been friendly. Let's hope things turn around? Anyone have a couch I can sleep on? XD

The Recap

So its been nearly a month since my last update. I'm alive and well, I got married, I moved to a new town. I moved in to a new house, I'm still looking for a job and I'm still wishing for many things. Applied for food stamps, applied at a couple of places for jobs. The bus system is nice in this town, apparently they are the best transit in the country. My mother in law is a fucking nut job, her brother is not so bad. Sister in law is cute but husband and I still like to screw with her brain.

Grandma, best friend and best friend's kid just had a birthday, not to mention the Professor's birthday, the Mistress' birthday, met a few new friends offline and online. WhiteRose and Joe Acro doing a cover contest for timeline six, met with an artist who is willing to work on Timeline Six for a price of course.

Going to two conventions, Long Beach Comic Con and WonderCon, realized that Gabi Trautmann wife of Eric Trautmann (Action Comics) runs my local comic shop, she dropped my name with Gail prior to realizing that Gail and I are on CBR and Facebook, but it was nice of her, overly nice that she saved Simone work for me without me even having to ask. That might be because I blab about Gai a lot.

Still settling in, husband's birthday is coming up not sure what to get him that he doesn't already have. Daddy is waiting on someone to buy my old bed so I can get some quick cash, Grandpa's birthday is coming up too. Washington State isn't Texas, and yes I miss home a lot but I'm doing okay here. Husband's friend is a bigot and I refuse to hang out with him, so I hang out with said friend's girlfriend and we have a lot in common especially talking about how dull the boys can be sometimes.

Star Trek Online is an awesome MMORPG, might be the only MMO I play this year next to DCU Online. I've gone back into simming, if you don't what that is, google it. Gail Simone is going to be writing Birds of Prey, my favorite comic is back, this year is awesome and that's my recap and YOU SUCK COWBOYS!

That is all.

Reflections

Two days left until Christmas, a lot has happened and as the new year approaches its time to reflect on what 2009 meant to us. A year can change a person, how they think, and who they are. Did this year change you any? Did you achieve any of your goals?

A lot of people passed away this year, does that make you think? Have you gotten what you wanted this year? Did you love to your fullest? Did you live, to your fullest? If you didn't wake up tomorrow did you get to do what you always wanted to do. Don't think of the shades of black, white or gray. Do not think in material terms, but you, do you even know you?

Sometimes you can reach out and find nothing at all. That when your eyes awake next it is immortal blackness. So I ask you again, did you really live? Did you really get to do all that your soul desired to do?

Keep moving forward, once you reflect you know, you have to keep moving forward, there's no going back. You grow up so fast, and then you realize hey, time's gone by and did I get to do what I wanted? Maybe, maybe not but you'll keep moving forward, making new goals and striving to always better yourself.

One way or another you will achieve what you wanted. Good is good, but hey better is even better, always look for something more, always keep wondering. As 2010 approaches, remind yourself of all that's happened this past year, good or bad. 2009 is just about over, and as you look ahead, what will you?

Hello Seattle

Also, yesterday, the 18th of December, was Dad's 50th Birthday. Man, he's old, anyway went up to Seattle to visit Matt's Uncle and Aunt, nice people, his mother as we both came to agree is completely fucking nuts. For reasons we won't discuss here online, and don't we just love being female, and having this thing called a period? LOVE IT!

Back aches, galore, which makes me more unbearable during this time, with no drugs in the house to help me out, the husband has been kind of enough to get me more pillows. Oh so we were reading these interesting articles on conception and babies and such, and wow... I almost rather have a boy if this article proves true.

http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/how-to-conceive-a-boy.html

Really? Yeah if you read the one about girls, you're not suppose to orgasm. Supposedly.

Matt and I were really surprised that people get paid to write this stuff, or even if they don't really? Are you freaking serious? That's just mildly depressing considering we want three girls, we don't believe this shit for a minute- Trust us, we're geeks we're not stupid... Not that stupid anyway.

Anywho, went to Seattle, nice place, lovely, lots of water, and trees... Trees... And trees.

Is it just me or does it seem that everywhere BUT South Central, Texas have Trees? Atlanta, Seattle, Tacoma hell even Olympia has more tress than San Antonio, did! GAH!

Alas, we won't have the house to ourselves Christmas Eve-Day, we have a housemate that will be here, which is fine he's one of my favorite housemates! I just don't want to leave him out of anything. Said Housemate has been lending ideas of making Poison Ivy such a more wonderful villain with a more rich background, man he's awesome.

Funnily enough his name is John, yeah like my best friend from San Antonio, just yeah different John but still cool nonetheless, we watched the Full Works of Shakespeare abridged, funny shit and great shit.

Watched Idiocracy and Inglorious Bastards great films and I recommend both. Did a little more reading on Sarah Beach's Scribbler's Guide to the Land of Myth. Hoping to be past section two tomorrow night. Argh, okay back hurts like hell, I'm going to snuggle down into bed and sleep before Matt does, otherwise I'll have to put up with his snores.

Timeline Six

That's right ladies and gentlenerds. Timeline Six will be upon us, ... Yes I should probably properly space Time Line, but I like Timeline. Anyway, so far nothing back art wise, if all else fails it'll be up to me and Acro to come up with a cover. So a lot has happened this year, as far as me working on the DCU, in fact its detracted me from working on ANYTHING ELSE. I hope you're all really happy and proud of yourselves.

Anyway, Timeline Six, is going to be in a story format, again told by the Phantom Stranger as only he can tell it, more villains and heroes names will be dropped for mentions and cameos. Asking for Art for Timeline, things that best represents what Timeline is about, so it can be of characters or settings, or whatever you the artist feel.

In a quasi-related note, found the appropriate rewrite document for Legends of Gotham. That would be 7c, 7th Draft and 3rd Rewrite, yes a year in the making and that's how much I've been at it, but I finally feel like this is the one that I'll be sticking it as it feels the best to me. Also found, Haesik the comic script I had been working on, y_cats is great for helping me out.

So 2010, I have two fanprojects, Jaeverse DCU and Star Trek: Taurus both alternate realities, and both really fun to write. I've begun working on the backstory for Taurus and that's been a lot of fun lately.

On the homefront, no job just yet, will start putting a lot more effort toward that, and finding some kind of job around these parks. Otherwise, we're happy, geeky, and gaming! Thanks everyone! Until next time!

Ivy and Harley

Let it Snow!

Happy Holidays,

It is now 4:10 AM, here in Lacey, Washington and there has been snow. Living in a new state, with little to no, possessions of my own, and yet I'm happy. I feel no stress, which is a relief. Before when I lived in Texas, with my Dad and his wife, it- it was very stressed. It seems my Dad has seem fit to give my brother the same cold shoulder he gave me.

Things are easy right now, still settling in, and I probably won't be fully settled in until all my things get here, but my husband, Matt has been good about things. I have yet to actually physically go out and look for a job. The resume which I thought I emailed to myself, is not here. I'll probably write up another one at some point, so I can be productive and try to send that out to the near by banks.

I've noticed that there are a shit load of banks within the Lacey, WA area. Speaking of Washington State, it takes twenty dollars to get a state identification card that is just beyond me, me and my little Texas brain. I've been reading through scribblerworks' (Sarah Beach) The Land of Myth, which is recommended not just by myself but also Corrina Lawson and Stacey Haynes. Trust us, this book is worth every penny, that and Sarah is just awesome.

MacQuarrie will even tell you, this woman is full of win. So be kind to your Librarians, please, be kind and gentle, they are awesome people.

I have a lot planned for 2010, Star Trek: Taurus and Jaeverse DCU. Both of which I look forward to, hoping to launch my own website, so keep your fingers crossed, and light candles for me as I do look for a job as this can only really happen if I do have some sort of employment in which to assist my husband and our housemates in paying rent.

There are seven of us in the house, its a five bedroom house, four of which are couples, my husband and myself, then his friend Ed and Ed's fiancé Jen. Then we have Allan, John and Brian. John has two cats, Pumpkin and Goblin. Pumpkin is the snuggle-whore, Goblin is the loyal one in that only John can pet her, she seems to dash away from everyone else.

The housemates are awesome, we're all weird and geeks in one way or another. We're all hoping to pull together for cable, but still this place is pretty cool. The house is awesome, and has lots of potential and I can see why Matt wants to stay here. Lacey is a nice town, wouldn't mind really settling down here.

I have found a local comic book shop ran by Gabi Shepard, its Olympic Comics and Cards a 7,000 square foot place, yeah its geek heaven. I can tell you that much, it looks to be that me and the husband will be alone for Christmas. YAY! Teehee, I've been so wanting that lately, because sometimes living in this house can be like living with really huge toddlers.

Alas, I don't think the soda can keep me awake and energized. Good night everyone!

Lacey is Cold

Seriously, its a cold mothafuckn town. That is all.
